WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

A Clear Property Value When Ownership Is Changing

Whether you are separating, buying out a co-owner or transferring a property between family members, an independent valuation provides a reliable market value for everyone to work from. Paul personally inspects the property, researches relevant comparable sales and prepares a detailed written valuation report. You deal directly with the valuer responsible for the assessment—not a call centre or an outsourced contractor.

When A Property Settlement Valuation May Be Needed

  • Separation or divorce
  • Buying out a former partner
  • Buying out another property owner
  • Transferring property between family members
  • Negotiations between solicitors
  • Mediation or private settlement discussions
  • Establishing a value at an earlier date
  • Resolving a disagreement about the property’s value
INDEPENDENT AND IMPARTIAL

A Valuation Based On Evidence, Not A Preferred Outcome.

A property settlement valuation is not an appraisal designed to win a listing or support a preferred outcome. It is an independent assessment of the property's market value, supported by inspection findings, market evidence and comparable sales.

Paul does not act for one side's preferred figure. The valuation reflects the available evidence and provides a defensible starting point for negotiations.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Property Settlement Valuation FAQs

Clear answers before you arrange your valuation.

Can both parties use the same valuation?

Yes. A jointly requested independent valuation can provide both parties and their advisers with one reliable market value to work from.

Can you value the property at an earlier date?

Yes. A retrospective valuation may be prepared for an earlier relevant date, subject to the property information and historical market evidence available.

Does Paul inspect the property personally?

Yes. Paul deals with you directly, completes the inspection and takes responsibility for the final valuation report.

Can the report be provided to my solicitor?

Yes. The completed report can be supplied to you or your solicitor for negotiations, mediation or other property settlement discussions.

What information do you need from me?

Usually the property address, the purpose of the valuation, the required valuation date and the contact details for arranging access are enough to provide a quote and get started.
